It is not yet time

I know i have been so lost here, been so busy with other things, but it is all good. I thank God for the privilege to find something to do with own hands.( I pray for those looking for a job or desire to start your own business may God grant you favor in this season, you are blessed!)
I have not neglected writing, but in this season , i felt God lead me to spend more time in His presence and do less.He has always been the source and i desire to continue being filled of Him , even as i pour out what He has put in me. My desire for this blog is that every word will be life spoken to your life, none of me but all of JESUS!

In the process of discovering where i was in this season, i must confess that at some point i felt so worried, questions like, what is happening to me? is anything wrong with me? did i make the right decision to start blogging? am i really called to do this? rang in my mind. However i continued to seek the Lord on this matter, He reminded me that He is a God of times and seasons. And in this season He was requiring me to seat at His feet and learn from Him.This reminds me of the story of Martha and her sister Mary. This from the book of Luke 10:38-42, please read below⇓

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

What a powerful story that is , and we can learn a lot from it , Martha is reminded not to worry about many things ( many things could be pursuing your career, looking for a job, writing, cooking, cleaning and many other that we worry about). This is just like me worrying and wondering why i am not able to write. Jesus reminds Martha that only one thing is needed and it is what Mary had done, sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to what He said. With this bible illustration, it does not mean Jesus is saying, you neglect everything else, but rather everything else should begin with spending time with Him, and He will direct your steps.I have found so much peace and rest by learning this precious lesson.
Do not fret if you see the supply running low, just know that God could be working on increasing your capacity, just like the miracle of the widow's olive oil.The bible says that when the jars were all full and there was none left, the oil stopped flowing. For me i liken the jars with my faith in God, there is need for us to increase our faith in God , for God to continue using us an His noble instruments. The question i will ask you today is,are there any more jars? is there any more faith in you?
Whatever you require God to do in your life today, it will require you to live by faith. The bible says, the righteous shall live by faith.
I felt as though i was writing down a sermon today, but i believe in this season, we are been called to live by the word of God.
When it is all silent:
  • Focus on the growth of your relationship with God
  • Know the season and seize the moment
  • Enjoy the season
  • Do not do anything to please anyone
  • Your work is to do the will of the father
Jesus is our greatest role model, and just like Him, we should walk in understanding, knowing what season we are in.

So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come - John7:30

Finally, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.- Philippians 1:6

Hallelujah!

With Love,
Bernice.

What does it mean to be content ?

I will go straight to the topic…. Contentment defined is a state of happiness and satisfaction. Recently the Lord has been impressing in my heart so much on this. And it comes at a time when I am trusting God to do so much in my life. So many people believe ( I have also found myself in that state sometimes ) that if only God bless me with a car, with a house, a better job, a wife , a husband , school fees, even that which is in your mind, then will they be happy. When you cross over to the other side you will discover that none of these will ever give complete joy and satisfaction. I have come to know that even in the season of waiting and in the storm you can still find happiness and satisfaction. The word of God tells us that in all circumstances we should give thanks. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1Thesalonians 5:18) . In thanksgiving I have found happiness and satisfaction. As I give thanks I discover how...

Never missed a day

Hey, Sorry for taking long to post, always from heart, i intend to do this with sincerity and from the depth of my heart. I have been in a season where God has been taking me back to the basics. This is one of the lessons i have learnt ; The other day during my usual morning prayers i began by thanking God for the gift of life and  the gift of a new day. What i thought to be a usual morning prayer turned out to be something even more beautiful. The Lord began to impress in my heart, the importance or the weight of living in a day, haha, if there is any phrase like that 'living in a day' Everyday we rise, shows God's faithfulness and the beauty in His word. Each day is evidence that the word of God has never failed. When you see the sun and the moon, when you look up and see the skies, day and night, this is all the word of God being made manifest.   And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.   And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divi...
